There's no hidden meaning here, its probably going to be a thought-provoking journey of these two characters in a children's book fashion. I'm open to suggestions though.

I don't think the adventures of Billy Bottoms and P.J. need to be funny. They're fine as they are; no reason to hide the ideas under plasticky gag jokes. Besides, how does the author know that his status quo is what makes him truly happy? What if he discards this style, which he should have kept all along?
